Imagine that YOU are behind the "veil of ignorance" in the "original position" and that you are assigned the task of drawing up a social contract which will determine the rules, rights, privileges, and prohibitions in the society which you are about to enter. You are a rational being, but besides knowing that you are a rational being, you do not know ANY of your life circumstances: you are ignorant of your age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or socio/economic status. You do not know whether are healthy or chronically ill. You are completely ignorant of who you are and where exactly you will fit in the social contract you are about to formulate.

What kind of social contract would you devise if you didn't know where you'd "end up" in society? What rights, privileges, and protections and protections would your social contract grant and why?
