1. A social scientist would like to use a pictogram in comparing the number of violent crimes against persons in 2006 with the comparable figure for 1960. Consider- ing that she can select from a wide variety of symbols to demonstrate these frequencies, suggest several possible symbols that would tend to underscore the violence and/ or human tragedy of such crimes.
