Several factors influence the value obtained for the independent-samples t test statistic. Some influence the numerator of the t test statistic, and others influence estimated standard error in the denominator. For each of the following, indicate

(1) Whether it influences the numerator or denominator of the t test statistic, and
(2) Determine whether it would increase the value of it (farther from zero) or decrease the value of it (closer to zero). In each case, assume that all other factors remain constant.
