Think of an employer you have worked for or currently work for that provided you with valuable work experience. If your work experience is limited, think of a person or talk to someone who has had extensive work experience. Then, answer these questions: What size is the organization? How many people are employed and how many departments does the company have? What department were you part of and what level of management was the manager? (supervisor/lead/director/VP/etc.) How do you characterize your supervisor's approach to management? For example, which particular management tasks and roles does the person perform the most? What type of skills does this manager have? How did your supervisor's approach to management affect your attitudes and behavior? For example, did you perform as a subordinate and how motivated were you? What area(s) of improvement would you recommend for this manager? Your Journal also should include an introduction (i.e. who are you writing about? Where is it located? For how long did you work there?)
