SCENARIO ONE: Jennifer Anistown, 8 months pregnant, came to the outpatient urgent care offices of Callous Clinic, located in the State of Flux, bleeding and with some labor pains. The physician there, Dr. Jones, had never seen or treated her. When called by the nurse, Dr. Jones came out to see the patient and told her that she needed to go to her own physician, which at the time, was 30 minutes away. During travel, Ms. Anistown lost the baby. She brought suit for malpractice negligence against Dr. Jones, attaching her employer, Callous Clinic.
