Maria confirmed that she did not make any of those purchases, but the credit card said they will nonetheless hold her responsible for all charges made on the card. Maria has come to your firm for help in addressing the credit card company's demand for her to pay the charges associated with the unauthorized use, resulting from the theft.

Your supervising attorney has asked you to start researching Maria's liability for the unauthorized use of her credit card as a result of the theft.
