Develop a matlab model to simulate a car that includes rolling resistance, aerodyanmic drag, and kinetic energy loss due to braking.

a. Look up weight, frontal area and drag coefficient for Toyota Corolla. Assume that the engine has an efficiency of 30%. Adjust th e parameters of the model (such as rolling resistance coefficient, average highway driving speed) until you are able to match the EPA highway mileage number with your matlab code.

b. Using the numbers from part a. simulate city driving with the Corolla. Make an assumption on the average number of stops per mile the carmakes and the average in-town driving speed. Adjust these numbers until you can match the EPA city mileage for the Corolla.

c. Now apply your model to a Toyota Prius. Assume the Prius engine has an efficiency of 40%, and that it has a regenerative braking efficiency of 40%. How close do your mileage numbers come to the EPA numbers for the Prius?
