When using SPSS to perform a 2 independent sample t-test, the P-Value was .136...with alpha set to .05. I have to decide to accept or reject the null hypothesis. When viewing things online all I could find was that if the p-value was greater than .05 then the null hypothesis was accepted? Is that a correct assumption or does it vary by example?
