A craftsman builds two kinds of birdhouses, one for wrens (X1), and one for bluebirds (X2). Each wren birdhouse takes four hours of labor and four units of lumber. Each bluebird house requires two hours of labor and twelve units of lumber. The craftsman has available 60 hours of labor and 120 units of lumber. Wren houses profit $6 each and bluebird houses profit $15 each.

Assuming they can sell all units produced, using solver determine the combination of wren and bluebird houses that will maximize profit and what is the profit?

The craftsman could change the wren birdhouse so that the profit is $10, but the changes would require two more hours of labor and two more units of lumber. Assuming they can sell all units produced. Use solver to determine the combination of the new higher profitable wren birdhouse and the old bluebird birdhouse that will maximize profits?

Should the craftsman produce the old wren birdhouse or the new wren birdhouse? Why?
