Write a 2-3 page paper on branding yourself. Use the SWOT analysis to discuss and evaluate your characteristics. Think about not only how you see yourself, think about how others perceive you at home, at work or at social events.
For example: Dave Thomas was the founder of the fast food chain, Wendy's. As a person, he was dedicated to providing quality service, honesty and integrity. Those qualities are strengths that he had as a person and were his brand as a person. This translated into Wendy's reputation because his dedication to service has enhanced the reputation of his company. You can learn about Dave's values at www.wendys.com and you can see how his brand started at the human level with his personal actions.
Take a look at yourself on a human level - what you believe in, how you treat others, how you are perceived by colleagues and friends and write a paper that describes for me what type of person you are. If you read Dave's values, you get a sense for what is important to him and what type of person he was.
Another example is that Dave Thomas was adopted. He used his experiences as an opportunity and created the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Now, I don't expect any of you to currently own a company, but I do believe that every person has a way that they are presenting themselves to others and that is in fact your "brand."
