In this unit, the project will involve developing a strategy to help an affected community with natural disaster. When preparing a project like this, it is vital to start with a plan on how to communicate the project to the people involved so as to help them understand why they project is important. In this case, the project will have to be completed within two months; thus, it is vital that no time is wasted. The main people who will participate in this project will include volunteers who are students in the university. So as to seek help from the volunteers, there will be a one week training that will involve teaching these people the significance of the project, why their involvement is essential, and how the community will benefit after the project is completed. With regards to funds, we will hold a one fundraising where we will invite the mayor and other NGO officials to participate in fundraising funds to help us with conduct the project and accomplish our objectives. The community in case and neighbouring communities will be invited in the university where the fundraising event will be done. Fundraising tend to be the most effective means of getting the necessary funds as it will be able to attract a large number of people and ensure that we raise sufficient funds (Gray, 2009). For this project to be possible, effective communication is vital. Communicating the objective of the project to the necessary people is important. In doing this, we will use effective tools of communication such as emails, flyers, social media, and face-to-face communication so as to pass the message to a large number of people (Thornhill et al. 2012).
