The instrument read, in relevant part, “Ninety days after date, I, we, or either of us, promises to pay to the order of $3,895.88.” Jill refused to pay on the note. Walk-On-In claimed that this note was bearer paper and as such was payable to the holder. Jill claimed the note was order paper and was therefore payable only to a named payee. Can Walk-On-In, as its bearer, collect on this note?
