Case Study

The case study for MGT 101 focuses on understanding the business processes that occur in our every day lives. We are surrounded by businesses processes (whether we recognize them as such or not).

Daily activities as standing in a bank lineup or even waiting for a flu injection, are all business processes - we simply encounter them as a consumer. You are to include a description of a business process, outline efficiency problems with this process and identify recommendations to make it better. You are to ensure that you include a business process from each of the areas identified below: Personal Life Process - Identify a personal life process that if you had the opportunity to make better, what would it be? E.g., carpooling to school with fellow students.

Academic Process - Identify an academic process as a student of Canadore College that if you can make better, what would it be? E.g. ordering online text books. Online Process - Identify a website that you use to purchase items or even for booking appointments, how could you make this process better? E.g. ordering movie tickets online.
