Reword "as a manager, I would say something very similar to what this manager said. However after hearing, repeating, and understanding my employee's concern, I would actually address that concern. In the video the manager just encouraged her and gave her confidence, but did not fully address her concern of knowing how to address computer and technical problems. I would have, in this situation, asked her if she feels like she would like training on how to deal with these IT problems be means of a class or by means of a mentoring by someone else in another department preferably IT. If this solution does not work, we could discuss giving these IT tasks to another more capable employee or hiring someone else to address these problems. "
