Background 

Knowing and understanding your MBTI Personality Type is a valuable source of assistance in targeting jobs and career fields that are ideally suited to your personality and temperament. Now that you have taken the Type Focus assessment to determine your MBTI profile, this ICE will require you to read and reflect upon material specific to your personality type. This will offer you more guidance in targeting jobs that are most likely to lead to job and career satisfaction and success.

Your instructors will provide you with the relevant content for your MBTI type from a resource text entitled "Do What You Are" (3^rd Ed.) by Barron and Tieger. The content provides additional information about your profile and examples of the career experiences of other people with the same profile. More importantly, it offers a variety of suggested jobs and different career paths that have proven through research to be most satisfying for your personality type.

Instructions

1.   Carefully read the material for your MBTI Profile. As you read it, highlight the content that you agree with in one colour of highlighter (e.g., green) and that you disagree with in a different colour of highlighter (e.g., orange). As you read through the section with suggested jobs and career paths for your MBTI type, again highlight those suggestions that appeal (e.g., green) and those that don't (e.g., orange).
