In the BSG game of co-managing the North America and Asia-Pacific markets and shoe stores, one needs to understand the different strategies and how they play a role in the success of the business. I believe that we could have worked together more cohesively to obtain better outcomes. I feel like we could never seem to be on at the same time when making our weekly decisions. With pricing strategy if prices were set slightly below average to attract more cost-conscious consumers sales could have possibly seen a little better number. If another store or market lowers their prices rather quickly, we needed to analyze the market to see how much we could have lowered our prices to be competitive. Inventory management is another area that could be re-evaluated. By clearing out leftover shoes by discounting the price by a fraction of the original cost could optimize the inventory and space in the warehouse for new products. By analyzing and reworking the strategies, our team could have seen better profit margins, streamlined production and warehouse space and higher market shares. As a team we also need to be able to adapt quickly to the strategies of the other teams to.
