In the Epic of Gilgamesh we see the struggle between the uncivilized Enkidu and the civilized Gilgamesh. Is Enkidu really all that uncivilized, and correspondingly is Gilgamesh really as civilized as he appears to be? Why do you interpret the text in this way?
