a) Joyce has worked as a bank teller the last 15 years tending to customers over the counter when they want to withdraw or deposit money. Over recent years, with the increased use of electronic banking, the number of bank tellers required by each branch was drastically reduced and Joyce was retrenched. In contrast there was a huge demand for personnel with computer related skills in the electronic banking division.

b) David is a business consultant who specialises in advising business start-ups in Australia. Due to a slowdown in the world economy that has caused a recession in Australia, he was retrenched and became unemployed.

c) Sumeer has worked in a busy restaurant in the regional city of Ballarat for several years. One day he decided to quit his current job and take a short break before looking out for more challenging but better paying jobs in the city. Sumeer spent about 1 month after his break submitting job applications before he finally found the job he wanted.

Required:
