PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Select one of the following types of the Community Services organisations

• Aged Care,

Step 2: Select 3 service organisations from the list below:

• Translating and Interpreting Service
• Carer assistance
• Transport assistance

Step 3: You are required to make a report for the organisation you selected (from step 1), detailing strategies for networking and collaboration for 3 different service delivery situations (from step 2). Specifically you need to :

1. Develop strategies to improve individual and organisation performance through collaboration
2. Identify and prioritise organisation and individual needs
3. Identify gaps in networks and collaborative practice and the required action to fill the gap

Gather and review information about relevant services and organisations 

Strategies to:

1. Pro-actively initiate relationships with other professionals and organisations
2. Share information and resources with other organisations to overcome duplication in service delivery
3. Maintain currency and accessibility of information
4. Define and document the type and level of collaboration - state what kind of documentation you will use and what will be recorded
5. How can you ensure that you work collaboratively with others to develop and maintain your networks and collaborative partnerships?
6. What can you do to positively represent your organisation?
7. What can you do to maintain and enhance networks and collaborative partnerships?
8. Discuss the industry structure and interrelationships between different organisations, both public and private in relation to your organisation or one you would like to work in.
