Psychotherapy is a verbal form of therapy between a trained therapist and someone seeking to overcome psychological difficulties and/or attain personal growth. Your book identified 5 of the 7 major types of psychotherapy as psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, behavior therapy, cognitive therapy and cognitive-behavior therapy.
