Assignment:

Since pedophiles and sex offenders often work on the online community regarding specific situations, these criminals would often think that the internet is a great place to pull adolescents and young youth out of their comfort zones and the internet is where most people as well as young people often share naked photos and pornography videos to capture more attention from others, but what they do not understand is that they often capture attention from the wrong people.

There are offenders that are now searching social media accounts for pictures of children that are posted by their parents online with not many clothes on. They copy these pictures and then reach out to the parents and let them know that they are going to sell them to a child pornographer unless they pay them to not sell them. Believe it or not, some parents start a relationship with the offender and not only pay them but continue to send them pictures because of the amount of payment received and then it goes further from there to videos of them bathing their child or changing them and so forth. Do you think that social media sites should have mandates on what types of pictures can be submitted or shown? What are your thoughts on this and have you ever heard of these types of offenses?
