Cellular differences At one time multicellular organisms were only the size of one cell; they divided into individuals that are made of trillions of cells. Every cell in the human body received a copy of an original nucleus with the exact same genes and chromosomes. All of the cells in the body evolved from a single cell. How do you think the genes could be responsible for cellular differences? Patterns of inheritance There are four types of inheritance patterns in pedigrees. Name them. What would you expect a pedigree to look like for each pattern? Structure of DNA Describe the structure of DNA and explain how it allows DNA to be used in solving crimes, paternity testing, identifying tendencies for diseases, and treating or curing genetic diseases. Do you think DNA evidence is reliable enough to be accepted for these uses?
List five factors that might influence the rate of oxygen (or carbon dioxide) production or consumption in leaves. Explain how you think each will affect the rate.
