Currently, most diets for weight loss fall into one of two categories: a) limiting calories, in essence limiting high caloric fats [low-cal], and b) limiting carbohydrates, under the premise that sugar is unhealthy, and largely ignoring fat and protein intake [low-carb].

Take a position and argue in favor of one of these two types of diets as the more effective or healthy.
