During the 1990s, the microenterprise field filled quickly in the United States. Beginning with few non-benefit associations testing agricultural nation models, the field currently has specialist co-ops in each express, a public exchange affiliation (AEO), a developing number of state-level affiliations and financing middle people, and a few exploration and strategy associations. The Aspen Institute and FIELD (Microenterprise Fund for Innovation, Effectiveness, Learning and Dissemination) has gathered information on the associations in the field beginning around 1992.
