In today’s society, businesses attempt with the help of the media, Internet, direct marketing and other types of advertisement to seduce the public (consumers) to buy all types of items. Moreover, too often, customers believe that those items will make them a better person in some way. Most Americans greatly over spend on many items that they do not need, including myself.

However, it is the consumer who must make the change, regarding over spending. Let’s face it, businesses are in business to make a profit, and most businesses will spend the necessary money to promote their business to entice customers to buy. What are your thoughts?
