The serum concentration of free T3 (a thyroid hormone) among people between the ages of 30 and 60 is normally-distributed with mean 4.6 pmol/liter and standard deviation 0.5 pmol/liter.

A medical researcher plans a study where she will select a random sample of 16 people between the ages of 30 and 60, and measure their serum concentration of free T3.
