I would like to work in a functional structure because I believe it would be the most efficient and would allow me to be involved in a variety of tasks. Functional structures are designed to promote efficiency by dividing labor into specific tasks. This type of structure is often used in smaller organizations where everyone has a specific role to play. For example, in a small medical practice, the receptionist would be responsible for greeting patients, the nurse would take vital signs and administer medication, and the doctor would be responsible for seeing patients and prescribing treatment. This type of structure allows each employee to specialize in a specific task, which can lead to greater efficiency.
