Your global company has been bribing government officials in foreign countries for years. Bribery is viewed as "keeping business units alive and thousands of people in jobs." One subsidiary recently paid $40M in bribes to win a $1B contract in Argentina.

If fond guilty of bribery, your company will be barred from bidding on government contract in the U.S.

1. Fully discuss the benefits and drawbacks of engaging in this type of behavior and having this type of culture.

2. Assume your company is caught but is allowed to plead guilty to accounting violations rather than bribery so government contracts are still available. As a competitor, how would you feel and why? As a US taxpayer, how would you feel and why?
