Two thermometers, A and B, are wrapped in pieces of gauze. The gauze around thermometer A is moistened with water and the gauze around thermometer B is moistened with Ether(a volatile liquid).

At the start of the experiment, both thermometers record the same temperature. Why does, after 10 min, thermometer B record a lower temperature than thermometer A?
