Mystakidou's The Evolution of Euthanasia and Its perceptions in Greek Culture and Civilization Discretionary Assignment #2 For our Second Discretionary Assignment, students will address the questions in Part A based on the content from the readings from Week 3 (Jan 24-28). The second part of the discussion question requires students to find a case study where euthanasia was chosen by a patient. Part A: Article Questions-read the article carefully and address the following questions:

• Give examples of those who would engage in or be deemed acceptable for passive euthanasia
• What changes in terms of perceptions of euthanasia appeared with the emergence of Christianity?
• How has the perception of euthanasia altered in Greece from the ancient period to present day?
