Two metal spheres, each of radius 2.5 cm, have a center-to-center separation of 2.6 m. Sphere 1 has a charge of +1.4 x10-8 C; sphere 2 has a charge of -2.7 x 10-8C. Assume that the separation is large enough for us to assume that the charge on each sphere is uniformly distributed (the spheres donot affect each other). With V = 0 at infinity, calculate in volts (a) the potential at the point halfway between their centers and the potential on the surface of (b) sphere 1 and (c) sphere 2.

A sun yacht is a spacecraft with a large sail : A "sun yacht" is a spacecraft with a large sail that is pushed by sunlight. Although such a push is tiny in everyday circumstances,it can be large enough to send the spacecraft outward from the Sunon a cost-free but slow trip. Suppose that the spa..
Compute the average force the club exerts on the ball : A golf ball of mass 4.50 x 10-2kg is struck by a club. Contact lasts 2.39 x 10-4 s, and theball leaves the tee with a horizontal velocity of 40.0 m/s. Compute the average force the club exerts on the ball by finding its average acceleration.
Find the magnitude of the induced emf in the coil : A coil is wrapped with 195 turns of wire on the perimeter of a square frame of sides 16.9 cm. Each turn has the same area, equal to that of the frame, and the total resistance of the coil is 2.04 . A uniform magnetic field is turned on perpendicul..
Magnitude of average induced emf in wire during this time : A circular wire loop of radius 8.1 m lies in a plane perpendicularto a uniform magnetic field of magnitude 0.4 T. In 0.1 s the wire is reshaped into a square but remains in the same plane.
