There are two identical small metal spheres with charges +charge and -charge and the distance b/w them is r meters.  The spheres are placed in contact then set at their original distance.  When finding the magnitude of the force b/w the 2 spheres at the final position, is it correct to just use Coulomb's equation using the original charges or will placing them in contact first change the value of the charges?
