Question

Two groups of students perform an experiment in which one volunteer from each group places their hand in ice water. One group reports that heart rate increases as a result of the experiment. The other group reports that heart rate decreases. Both report an increase in pulse amplitude. Provide a thorough discussion that reconciles the differences between lab results. In your discussion, provide insightful and knowledgeable arguments that support the validity of each result and speculate about other conditions that may have existed (though were not reported) that influenced the results.
