Problem: The system pictured below consists of two blocks of mass m connected via springs to two walls. The springs all have spring constant k. a) Write the equations of motion for this system. Use as your variables the displacement of each block from its resting place. b) Write expressions for the positions of each block as a function of time for the normal mode in which both blocks begin at their resting positions traveling in opposite directions. Take their initial speeds to be v. Do this by guessing the form of the answer, then plugging it into the equations of motion to determine the angular frequency of the oscillation (and confirm that your expressions do satisfy both equations of motion)
