One of the Trump administration's signature achievements was replacing NAFTA with USMCA. These two treaties have shaped how goods, services, and labor are allowed to flow across the borders of the three major economic powers in found on the North American continent. While there are very few significant differences between the two agreements, one of the key features of USMCA is its protocol for handling trade disputes between the participant countries. Read this articlefrom The Hill that discusses a couple of the disputes that are currently being worked out through these protocols. After you do complete the following tasks:

First, pick ONE of the disputes discussed in the Hill article. In a well-written essay, present the basic details of the dispute including the concerns presented by both sides. Then consider whether the United State's position on this particular dispute is best for the entire region, or if you feel that the U.S. is essentially only looking out for its own best interests. Should the U.S. only look out for its own concerns, or must it also consider what is best for others?
