1) Suppose that a developing country has discovered rich natural resources and the policymakers perfectly know that such a discovery may also be a curse for them through channels such as the Dutch Disease or increased corruption. They hired you because they know that you had taken Development Economics course from Harvard Summer School. What would you suggest them?

2) Based on your suggestions that worked perfectly well for the "resource curse" problem above, the very same policymakers also asked for your advice to prevent child labor in their country. What would your action plan be? Which policies would you choose as priority?

3) You are a true hero now and people are giving your name to the newborns and to the streets, which is a common practice in developing countries by the way. Now, this country wants to follow effective policies to achieve higher levels of growth by utilizing the merits of globalization. You are already familiar with Dani Rodrik's triangularization framework on globalization. What would your advice be to the policymakers?

4) Thanks to your advices and the benevolent politicians, your country started to run trade surpluses against the United States. However, the United States is not happy with that and a "tariff war" is on the way, which means a possible increase in tariffs for the goods that you export to the United States. How would that affect your economy? Why would a lot of economists think that your currency has to depreciate? Will your parents or friends, who are American citizens, be better off or worse off? Why?
