A few of the global health issues that have stemmed from globalization can include the transmission of infectious diseases, a weak primary health care, antimicrobial resistance andmore (WHO, 2019). Infectious diseases do not discriminate and can impose a significant threat toany individual's health no matter ethnicity, health status, location. And this fact still rings so trueas the world currently and continues to fight against the current pandemic COVID-19.According to the WHO (2019), vaccine hesitancy and/or refusal despite the availability ofthe vaccines is a global health issue that is creates a threat in the process to defeat vaccine-preventable diseases. Vaccinations have proven to decrease the transmissions and opportunities oftransmission or even eliminate the disease in certain populations. Vaccines are the most effectiveand available tools for providers in attempt to provide preventative care and improve wellness(Omer, et al., 2009). Currently vaccinations have prevented about 3 million deaths a year andthere are predictions that 1.5 million could possibly be avoided if there is approval of globalcoverage of vaccinations (WHO, 2019).
