• Explain how Human Resources Professionals exhibit the duties of transformational leadership. Transformational leadership is a style of leadership where a leader works with subordinates to identify needed change, creating a vision to guide the change through inspiration, and executing the change in tandem with committed members of a group. Transformational leadership works to increase the motivation, sense of responsibility, and performance of the team through some tools. These include connecting the team's sense of identity to a project and to the collective identity of the organization. The HR team and professionals can perform this ole as they are accessible to all employees across the team. I will take an example, I joined an organization where 64 engineers and other professionals were at 6 different sites and most of these people were not knowing each other despite working in the same team for years. I also found these people moving from one site to another were disjointed from the corporate office and other teams working at corporate office. I me the HR team and suggested some measures, which they took forward, we called first time 90% of the team to corporate office for a 2 day seminar and get together. HR professionals shall visit one site in one month with one of the directors of the organization for the site team’s introduction. These and some other measures, like pictorial stories about site works helped motivate the site teams tremendously.

• How can diversity help to improve an organization, and explain the obstacles that are encountered? Diversity helps organization take better, mature and well thought out decisions, which are not affected by the group think. It further helps in developing better and more coordinated teams, people more considerate and genuinely understand how to manage diversity and make good use of it. But diversity if present and not handled properly, it shall reduce the morale of people, shall alienate the minorities, lead to delay in taking any decisions and also may lead to groupthink.

• List and discuss some of the functions of a Human Resources Manager, and how these functions help with recruiting qualified employees Human resource manager is instrumental in ensuring the resource recruitment, on boarding, training, appraisals, reward schemes etc. for the organization. They also help create the basic job descriptions of all the possible roles in the organization to ensure the right people come in the organization. They shall organize the interviews, onboarding and the introductory trainings of new employees. The mentorship program of the new employees also is managed by HR manager.
