Tim Cook Leadership skills Tim Cook is the Chief Executive Officer of Apple Inc. He is the face of the company, and he is partly responsible for the creation of the monster that Apple is today. When Steve Jobs died, it looked as if filling his shoes was near-impossible. When Cook was appointed to take over the mantle of leadership, there was doubt all over the world. Cook was little known, and there was no publicly-recognized track record. However, the achievements of Cook surpassed expectations. It is due to the leadership skills of Tim Cook that he managed to maintain the highest standards of excellence. One of the leadership skills that define Tim Cook is trusting people who surround him. While many organizational leaders do not trust the leader around them and therefore, do not trust them with critical decisions, Cook is different. It is as a result of his leadership skills that Tim Cook has managed to maintain the high standards of excellence.
