Assignment Task: Select one transformational attribute of your chosen leader that positively affected the leader's organization. How did your leader illustrate this attribute? Tim Cook Leadership skills Tim Cook is the Chief Executive Officer of Apple Inc. He is the face of the company, and he is partly responsible for the creation of the monster that Apple is today. When Steve Jobs died, it looked as if filling his shoes was near-impossible. When Cook was appointed to take over the mantle of leadership, there was doubt all over the world. Cook was little known, and there was no publicly-recognized track record. However, the achievements of Cook surpassed expectations. It is due to the leadership skills of Tim Cook that he managed to maintain the highest standards of excellence. One of the leadership skills that define Tim Cook is trusting people who surround him. While many organizational leaders do not trust the leader around them and therefore, do not trust them with critical decisions, Cook is different. Cook trusts other leaders in the organization, and he allows them to make decisions for the company (Bin Sattar, 2019). This style has allowed the organization to move forward in the quest for academic excellence. Another leadership skill that makes Tim Cook effective is honesty. Tim Cook is honest, and he strives to give honest assessments to his employees (Bin Sattar, 2019). At all times, Cook gets involved in honest discussions with his employees, and this has helped his employees to trust him and collaborate with him in his projects. It is as a result of his leadership skills that Tim Cook has managed to maintain the high standards of excellence.
