Problem- I want to make trans-2-pentene given propyne and other reagents as needed. I need to use retrosynthesis to get from my starting material (propyne) to my target material (trans-2-pentene). I know that in order to make the product Trans I must use an alkali metal like Na dissolved in ammonia but that's about it.
I need proficient help to working out this problem
