In addition to reading the relevant chapters in the textbook or module in human resource development, learners are also required to read at least FIVE (5) published journal articles on topics that have a bearing to the dynamic role of new training and development programmes for organisations. The peer reviewed journal articles should only be from the year 2017 to 2021.

1. Review and evaluate new training and development programmes conducted. What are the new trends (example: contactless customer service and delivery) in the study of training and development in HRD? Why are the new concepts or variables important for today's environment? You may include the new 'discoveries' in training and development programmes due to economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had a negative economic effect (layoffs, job losses, etc) on working-class families.

2. If you were to propose a research study that tries to explain the impact of new challenges or forces toward the effectiveness of training and development programmes, what variables would you include in the research model?

3. Suggest how you would implement the new concepts in the training and development programmes for your organisation. Justify your suggestions based on the journal articles that you have read.
