Jafar Jafari outlined a tourism model consisting of six integrated components: Corporation, Emancipation, Animation, Repatriation, Incorporation, and Omission. Using a springboard analogy, the Jafari model explores the immersion process that takes place in travel from the ordinary to non-ordinary, and the potentially transformative impact of the return from non-ordinary back to ordinary daily life. Do you agree with Jafari's theory of the tourist, given that the model is nearly 30 years old and much has been written on tourism in the interim.
