FACTS TO CONSIDER

Tyler and Melissa were in high school and in love. Of course, things went south when Melissa wanted to leave for college and they broke up. Following the breakup, Tyler posted on Facebook 26 times over the course of one weekend. The posts began as comments about how mean Melissa had been, but they allegedly turned more sinister. Melissa alleges Tyler began posting disparaging remarks about their sexual relationship. He then allegedly provided a series of very specific posts describing how Melissa had been checking people into the hotel where she worked as a front desk clerk and then deposited the money into her own checking account rather than into the hotel's records. Melissa states this was not true. Tyler insists Melissa had been doing this for months. Tyler admits he should not have made the posts, but defends his actions saying nothing that was untrue. Mellissa claims her boss, who is her friend on Facebook, saw the posts after Tyler "tagged" Melissa in the posts, and she was fired. She claims she is too depressed to get out of bed and look for another job
