Microbiology Assignment -
Topic - Effect of eco-fungicide on soil bacterium, P. putida
Experiment report - Use the references calculate the CFU include the calculation.
Background: Hypothesis: The eco fungicide, with the potassium bicarbonate 3G/L as an active ingredient, has a negative impact on decreasing the life of the beneficial soil Pseudomonas putida bacteria
Treatment of soil bacteria, Pseudomonas putida, with 100 µL of "Eco-fungicide" (3g/L) for 1 hour will lead to fewer CFU than 1 hour treatment with 100 µL of "Eco-fungicide" (0.3g/L). Additionally, 1 hour treatment with 100 µL of "Eco-fungicide" (0.3g/L) will lead to fewer CFU than 1 hour treatment with 100 µL of water.
Null Hypothesis: Treatment of soil bacteria, Pseudomonas putida, with 100 µL of "Eco-fungicide" (3g/L) for 1 hour will lead to the same CFU as 1 hour treatment with 100 µL of "Eco-fungicide" (0.3g/L). Additionally, 1 hour treatment with 100 µL of "Eco-fungicide" (0.3g/L) will lead to the same CFU as 1 hour treatment with 100 µL of water.
Variables:
Dependent Variable - Growth of soil bacteria Pseudomonas putida
Independent Variable - "Eco-fungicide" (active ingredient Potassium Bicarbonate)
Controlled Variable - Quantity of solvent
Control(s) -
