Problem: Thus far in the course, we have previously covered the concept of "linked fate," which explores whether Latinx individuals (and their subgroups more broadly) may believe that their social, political, and/or economic interests are connected to what happens to that of others around them (that is whether their social, political, and economic fate is linked to that of the fate of other Latinx subgroups). Chapter 7 takes it a step further by considering at the group level not only how Latinos may perceive linked fate between Latinx subgroups (i.e., "Intra-Latino Linked Fate) but also how Latinos may perceive linked fate with Blacks (i.e., "Black Linked Fate"). Research has shown that Latinos (and other groups) must develop some level of group consciousness internally before they can meaningfully engage with other out groups. With those things in mind, what do the authors in chapter 7 hypothesize with respect to Intra-Latino and Black linked fate (two key hypotheses)?
