By law, a judge is required to make decisions free of bias, allowing everyone to have an equal opportunity, ensuring that all groups are represented equally and fairly. Having a neutral party present, without conflict of interest, will allow for the fairest and less biased decisions to be made. I would choose representatives from all groups, especially minorities, to be involved with decision-making processes. This would allow everyone to contribute to the discussions so that everyone is represented equally. Unions can negotiate and argue their stance on improving employee conditions. The unions can persuade employers to increase wages and benefits for those they represent. If the conditions are not met, unions can organize a labor strike which can be detrimental to a business's daily operations. Diversifying union membership means that any law or regulation that strengthens unions is felt across the population. Unions take anti-discrimination measures very seriously and support anti-discriminatory legislation. This promotes practices that are less susceptible to bias.
