Purpose

2) To learn and have fun by applying personality theory to a public figure.
3) To think deeply about the degree to which personality (compared to all the other aspects of a person and his or her situation) affects a person's behaviour and effect on others.
4) To practice doing good persuasive writing and insightful thinking.
Description
In this paper, you will make judgements of the personality of a public figure. You will base your analysis of this public figure's personality on information you gather primarily from publicly available sources including the media. You will attempt to convince the reader that your judgements are likely to be correct, and you will work towards clear, concise, persuasive, and engaging prose.

You may structure your paper any way that works for you. The most straightforward structure is here. Page estimates are approximate and will vary depending on your target and traits and the points you want to make:
A. Describe the target (one page)
B. Explain Trait #1, (half a page or less)
C. Argue for whether the target is very low, low, medium, high, or very high on that trait (one to one-and-a-half pages)
D. Explain Trait #2 (half a page or less)
E. Argue for whether the target is very low, low, medium, high, or very high on that trait (one to one-and-a-half pages)
F. Explain Trait #3 (half a page or less)
G. Argue for whether the target is very low, low, medium, high, or very high on that trait (one to one-and-a-half pages)
H. Discuss what we can learn (two to four pages)
