To compare the effects on energy intake of drinking wine either before or with a meal, 11 men participated in a laboratory study. On each day of three day trial-period, participants were given breakfast in the laboratory then 3 h later returned for a two course (bread, pasta) lunch. In the control condition, participants had no wine; in the wine before meal group had 375 ml of red wine consumed 20 min before lunch; and in the wine with the meal group had 125 ml of red wine consumed with the starter and 250 ml of red wine was consumed with the main course.

The researchers also examined the effect of wine consumption on how tired men felt before & after lunch. Tiredness ratings indicated a significant main effect of: time, a main wine consumption, and a significant time by wine consumption interaction. Participants reported a significant increase in tiredness following lunch.

In the group that consumed wine prior to meals, its participants reported a larger increase in tiredness following lunch, compared to the group which had wine during their meal. The control group is not included in this analysis.

Sketch a graph that reflects these results with labels.
