You throw a tennis ball (mass m = 0.55 kg) inside your apartment from the floor level directly upwards with an initial speed of v0 = 15 m/s. The ceiling is 3.5 m above the floor. The ball hits the ceiling, bounces back at 5 m/s, and then hits the floor. The time of the impact between the ball and the ceiling is 2.5×10^-3 s. (hints: for (a) use energy conservation; (b) use momentum-impact theorem; (c) use energy conservation)

Find:

(a) the impact speed (in m/s) of the tennis ball before it hits the ceiling

(b) the average force (in N) the ceiling exerts on the ball during the impact

(c) the impact speed (in m/s) of the tennis ball before it hits the floor
