Global Petroleum (GP) is one of the world’s largest petroleum companies with offices located in the United States, the U.K., China, Russia, and Nigeria. The company is officially headquartered in Washington, D.C., and is listed on New York Stock Exchange. GP controls significant oil reserves, and is somewhat troubled by recent macro-level developments. As the company attempts to re-think its current strategy it needs to fully understand the nature of opportunities and threats present in the external environment.
